SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE FOR YOUR WASTEWATER SYSTEM

Becon Watertech has over 40 years’ experience in servicing and monitoring our wastewater treatment solutions. Our extensive network of specialist engineers offer expert and professional servicing for all models and types of domestic and commercial water systems.

We check the integrity and operation of your system, including all electrical and mechanical parts, and will advise on effluent qualities, flow rates, discharge consents, alarms and management systems to ensure your system is properly managed, non-polluting, and minimising running costs.

It’s important that your sewage treatment plant is maintained regularly to continue operating optimally. Poorly performing systems can cause serious health hazards as well as local pollution risks.

 

What Servicing and Maintenance does Becon Watertech offer?

PACKAGES

Full Operation and Maintenance:

  • On site Becon Watertech staff member for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
  • All daily, weekly and monthly maintenance.
  • Compliance reporting monthly on effluent quality
  • Free emergency call out.
  • GSM reporting and equipment installation.
  • Replacement of all spares, excluding damages caused by “act of God”
  • Minimum of 24 month contract.

 

Monthly Monitoring:

  • Ongoing training of operational and maintenance staff on a monthly basis.
  • Monthly execution of engineering maintenance, which includes greasing of bearings and replacement of gearbox oil as required by Becon Watertech trained personnel.
  • Implementation and the recording of routine operating and maintenance schedules in accordance with the routine required to operate and maintain the Becon Bio-Filter process.
  • Basic on-site process test checks and adjustments.
  • Monthly collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting on process and final effluent samples, including the preparation of a monthly report suitable for submission to the local authorities.
  • Overseeing of daily inspection, conducted by onsite staff, of all equipment and processes and report on functionality.
  • On-site tool sets, personal protection equipment, basic laboratory test equipment and stationary. Basic process control checks using the laboratory test equipment will be conducted by the shift Process Controllers.
  • Compliance reporting monthly on effluent quality
  • GSM reporting and equipment installation.
  • Replacement of all spares, excluding damages caused by “act of God”
  • Minimum of 24 month contract.

 

  1. The repair and/or replacement of mechanical and electrical equipment is not included and will be offered on a cost plus 12% basis.

 

The supply, storage and application of chlorine for the tertiary disinfection of the treated effluent and ferric chloride for the removal of phospurus has been included

  • The annual desludging of the septic tanks utilising a mobile tanker service is not included. This will be offered on a cost plus 20% basis and will include the management of the desludging operation to ensure adequate servicing of the septic tank by the mobile tanker operator.
  • Clearing of any blockages. Blockages that cannot be cleared manually by the site staff will be reported and the services of an external service provider will be engaged to clear these major blockages. This extra service is not included in the scope and will be invoiced at a cost plus 12% basis. Basic rodding and clearing equipment will be available for this application.
  • Routine maintenance of the garden and surrounds within the confines of the wastewater treatment fence area is not included.
